COOKING LESSONS WITH CHEF MATTHEW
new round of classes start August 7th
Thursdays at 6pm

6 weeks of intensive lessons including cutting skills, food handling, wine & spirits pairings, meats, seafood, poultry, soups, pastas

students will receive a certificate of completion, and will successfully fabricate, portion, prepare, serve, and consume (and clean-up!) a variety of complete gourmet meals

towels, aprons, gloves, and hand-outs provided

$100 per class / $500 for all classes
*students must provide knives
(slicing blade, French knife, paring & filet knives)
(some may be available for purchase through Matthew's)


All classes include learning gourmet recipes, cutting techniques, beverage pairing, as well as safe food handling.


Week 1: BLADES
Learn how to select, sharpen, maintain, and use professional knives. Plus learn how to prepare fresh vegetables and greens.

Week 2: SOUPS
Learn how to prepare a number of gourmet soups and stocks. Plus wine and beer pairing.

Week 3: POULTRY
Learn how to work with and cook a variety of poultry, including marinating. Plus rice preparation and wine pairing.

Week 4: MEATS
Learn how to select, butcher, trim, grill and sauté meats. Plus wine pairing.

Week 5: SEAFOOD
Learn how to select and prepare a variety of seafood. Plus wine pairing.

Week 6: PASTA
Learn how to make homemade pastas and sauces. Plus wine pairing.
